Citroën 2CV Cocorico
You can't stand to look of this car. The Cocorico was a 1000 pcs limited series in 1987. The seats are like jeans, while this special edition has an old style dash and instrument panel. A must see and a must drive in summer time on the beaches or country roads. The car is in Antwerp, Belgium.
The car originally came to Hungary in the early 90’s. DC72 bought it in 2015 and the restoration started during the autumn of 2016. As with all of the 2CVs we restore a new subframe took the basis of the work. We used aftermarket body panels during the welding while the doors were kept as the originals. The colour scheme applied is the Cocorico with the roof in white. All rubber parts, brake pipes – sourced by the DC72 brake line anufacturer partner – were replaced. The engine gone through a thorough overhaul checking the dimension and replacing the parts where they were necessary. New electronic ignition is installed together with new cooling fan blades. The carburettor is a fully rebuilt one with all of the gaskets and nozzles replaced. Suspension is totally rebuilt, including the shock absorbers and the steering pins. The interior is of the jeans version with one wide bench in the front too. The instrument and the steering wheel are of the older type. New seatbelts front and rear, new rubber floor matt and two 12V sockets are built in order to serve to charge the phone or using the BT speaker (that as a complimentary gift comes with the car free of charge). The new Michelin XZX tyres makes the ride the best as possible. It comes with Hungarian papers and all of the photos about the restoring.
